‘Tis the season when time for reveling in the rubble is scarce, not just for me, but for all of us. Life is busy! And that’s the main reason I’m motivated to tell you about Logos 5, the newest version of Logos Bible Software released just a couple of weeks ago.
I’ve had the extreme privilege of using Logos Bible Software since 2008, and it has completely revolutionized the way I research and study God’s Word. It didn’t take long before I was addicted.
Actually, since attending Bible school nearly 30 years ago, I have loved digging in and exploring Scripture. Now, with Logos 5, I’m more excited than ever to study the Bible. The program’s digital tools do all the hard work and heavy lifting for me. What used to take hours, I now accomplish in minutes.
I’ve written a detailed review of Logos 5, covering what’s new in the latest update and what’s revel-worthy in the freshly designed Gold package, a digital library of Bible study resources valued around $20,000 dollars if I were to purchase the entire collection in print. Logos 5 Gold contains 17 of the most popular English Bible versions, 30 reference works, more than 400 commentaries, 60 preaching and teaching resources, and more than 30 ancient texts and morphologies.
If you’re looking to invest in one of the best Bible study applications available, I recommend giving Logos serious consideration. Yes, this is an expensive option, but well worth the investment for any serious student of the Word. Here are some incentives to think about:
- Logos 5 is an excellent solution if you’re extremely busy, need to save time, but don’t want to sacrifice what’s most important to you, expanding your knowledge of Scripture and enriching your time spent with God.
- Logos 5 is the ultimate gift for pastors, seminary students, or Christian workers who want to go deep into their study of Scripture.
- For a limited time, Logos is offering 15% off all base packages for the launch sale. They also have monthly payment plans as well as an academic discount for faculty, staff and students enrolled in an approved seminary, college, or university.
- Logos has free mobile apps, too, which give you access to your entire library on all of your devices (iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Kindle Fire tablets, and Windows 8 devices).
This may sound like a commercial, but it’s not. My intent is sincere. I use Logos nearly every day, and depend on it for the research and writing I do for About.com. So, I’m carrying on about it because it’s a product I value and I think you might, too. Using the software has helped me grow in my understanding of Scripture while sparking in me a greater passion for God’s Word. It has also given me the ability to serve the Lord better in the work God has given me to do.
So, go check it out!
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word (logos) of truth.
